We will prepare an obituary to submit to the newspaper(s) of your choice. You may also prepare the obituary and email it to us. Please use Word for the document and .JPEG for the photo. Some newspapers will only print the photo of the deceased, so you may have to crop the image on a group or couple photo.
Please be prepared to provide a credit card for payment to the newspaper(s).
We do not edit or correct obituaries. Please triple check your typing.
Please have the name of the newspaper, City and State of the newspaper, the dates that you want the notice to appear in the newspaper and the connection the deceased had to the area that the newspaper is published if it is not stated in the notice.
Obituaries must be submitted with sufficent time to meet newspaper deadlines.
The Austin American-Statesman has a format that they use for free notices and specific guidelines for paid obituairies. Please look at this format so you know in advance what information to provide. The Austin American-Statesman allows only one free notice.

San Antonio area: San Antonio Express
San Marcos area: San Marcos Daily Record $84 up to 300 words and one photo, $168 from 301 to 600 words and one photo, $252 for 601 to 900 words and one photo, over 900 words will be by quote only. Deadline is 3:00 pm the day before for Tuesday, Wed., Thurs., and Fri. editions and 5:00 pm Friday for the Sunday edition. Additional photos are $15 ea. Add photo to free notice $15.
